I'll overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really going ahead.
