The Animated Series' Creator Is Aware of Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The much-anticipated Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with songs about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain threads recur frequently: Will a fan-favorite character escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool origin tales, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
